About Streetheat Customs

In Melbourne, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Florida vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
Hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in Melbourne keep standard business hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on weekends and holidays. The listed phone number is (321) 243-0328. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is streetheatcustoms.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 10 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded auto repair shops in Melbourne.
Melbourne is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Melbourne follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Review by Jeff Faith I own a 1987 SS Monte Carlo that I did an LS3 swap on. I used many of Matt's expert skills to complete my project. Matt did all the wiring on my car which was not an easy task being my car had five gallon bucket of unneeded wiring that ran pollution and carb. All wires were hidden and tied correctly. Matt also fabricated custom stainless exhaust that was mandrel bent out the back to factory look. Fully welded perfectly. All Ac lines were custom made also at his shop. Matt is one stop shopping for any build. I had small issue with my car after it was home and Matt made 60 mile trip to my house to repair it next day. Very professional high quality work hard to find anywhere these days. Would recommend his shop to anyone who holds high standards of workmanship.

I purchased a '57 Chevy from a Ft. Meyers dealer. Matt was more than accommodating when hidden problems began to appear. Though we had a potential date for future work, he immediately had me get my vehicle to his shop where he not only eliminated the massive fuel leak but then swapped out the noisy, useless mufflers, then corrected an interior fuse issue as well. The best part is that all of this was contained in updated text messages wherein he explained not only what issues he'd identified, but what was required to fix it. Looking forward to his expertise in the future.

I highley recommend this shop to anyone who wants minor work to high end builds. Matt has been great to work with on all my trucks. The end results shows why all my classic truck will go through his shop.

Be sure to look closely at any car you purchase from this shop. What I was told and what I received where not the same. The company claims that the pictures represented the truck properly but that is as far from true as it could be. There are very large paint runs in several locations on the truck pictures were sent to the owner and these obviously had nothing to do with the transport service. For a shop that builds βhigh endβ customs they should have noticed paint runs for a vehicle they represented the sell of. Once I called out the owner for these shady deal I was immediately blocked by phone. Never attempted to make anything right.
